About Marco Tavanti

Dr. Marco Tavanti is Associate Professor at DePaul University’s graduate School of Public Service. He teaches in the areas of international sustainable development, NGO management, monitoring and evaluation and global leadership ethics. He coordinates various international community development and poverty alleviation projects with indigenous organizations in Chiapas, Mexico and Vincentian social enterprises in Manila, Philippines. As a professional he has been consulting and collaborating with the United Nations agencies and NGOs in East Africa, Latin America and South East Asia. As a scholar, his research looks at the interception of religious and cultural values with leadership, social movements and international development.
