About Catherine Lutz Zois

Dr. Zois received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1997 from Wayne State University. Following Dr. Zois' internship at Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, she joined the faculty in 1998. Dr. Zois' undergraduate courses typically include psychology of women, tests and measurements, and community psychology.

PRIMARY RESEARCH AREAS (Women’s issues):
• Gender differences in self-concept and depression.
• Domestic violence: Why do some women remain in these types of relationships? Why do women enter these relationships?
• Psychopathy: Does this construct underlie both Anti-social and Borderline Personality? Differences between Primary and Secondary Psychopathy.
• Social cognition in close relationships: What factors contribute to relationship satisfaction judgments?
SECONDARY RESEARCH AREAS (Rape):
• Revictimization.
• Rape myths.
• Female perpetrators of sexual abuse against others.
