About Louis F Graham

My scholarship aims to understand psychosocial determinants of mental and sexual health among ethnic, gender and sexually marginalized groups – including suicidality, depression, and HIV prevention among black and Latino gay and bisexual men and transgender women. I value transdisciplinary collaboration and locate my work at the intersections of theory, research, policy, and practice. I am a co-principal investigator of a five-year, Ford Foundation funded project, “Detroit Youth Passages” (detroityouthpassages.org), which seeks to examine and positively transform structural conditions that contribute to mental and sexual vulnerabilities among young people.
