Market Research Analyst, University Communications and Marketing
Karen Ramsden is a market research analyst in the division of University Communications and Marketing, where she coordinates, researches and collaborates on special projects as related to the needs of the division and the University. Karen currently serves as Co-Chair of the Standard VI working group for the University's Middle States Reaccreditation self-study. She has served on many University-wide projects and initiatives throughout her career at the University. Prior to her role as market research analyst, Karen served as the lead administrator for the University's two research platforms Montclair State University Digital Commons, and Research with Montclair.
Karen possesses a comprehensive knowledge of fundraising research fundamentals, prospect cultivation, and the ability to establish accurate capacity ratings based on findings, formula and judgment and in the recognition of wealth indicators, knowledge of business terms and what constitutes relevant, credible and strategic information. Her interests center around UX/CX design, and research using qualitative methodologies.
Karen received a B.S. in Management Science, and a Master of Public Administration from Kean University, and recently was among the first cohort of graduates to have earned an M.A. in Social Research Methods and Analysis at Montclair State University. Karen serves as a pro bono career mentor for the organization Unchained At Last.
