About Justin Wadland

I have worked as a librarian at the UW Tacoma since 2003. My book, Trying Home: The Rise and Fall of an Anarchist Utopia on Puget Sound, was published by Oregon State University Press, won the 2015 Washington State Book Award in the History/General Nonfiction Category.

I serve as the Associate Director of the UW Tacoma Library and oversee the Library's Digital Scholarship Program. Since 2012, I have been the lead for UW Tacoma Digital Commons and served as project manager and collaborator on multiple digital projects, such as the Tacoma Community History Project.
