About Amir Hajrasouliha
Dr. Amir Hajrasouliha is an architect, urban designer, and city planner with years of professional and academic experience. He is the Head of the City and Regional Planning (CRP) Department at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is the author of peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, professional essays, and conference papers. His scholarship focuses on urban design, campus planning, and smart city applications, including digital twins, extended reality, procedural modeling, and advanced spatial analysis of urban form. Amir has been the recipient of national awards, including the Perry Chapman Prize from the Society of College and University Planning (SCUP) and the winner of the ULI/Hines urban design competition. Amir earned his Ph.D. in Metropolitan Planning, Policy, and Design from the University of Utah and a Master’s in Urban Design from the University of Michigan.
