About Erin Bowen

Dr. Erin Bowen's research and educational expertise focuses on aviation human factors, aviation safety culture, human performance, aviation psychology and statistics.
She also provides training in the application of advanced statistical techniques to organizational settings, particularly survey design/analysis, advanced confirmatory factor analytic and structural equation modeling techniques, and SPSS and LISREL use with applied data.
Dr. Bowen's work has been featured in numerous national and international news outlets, including an appearance on the nationally syndicated radio program, "Rudy Maxa's World with Christopher Elliott".
Prior to joining Embry-Riddle as Chair of the Safety Science Department, Dr. Bowen founded the Applied Human Factors Research Laboratory and co-founded the A3IR-CORE Research Center while at Purdue, bringing research and analytic expertise from psychology, aviation, and other industries to improve the human component of high consequence industries.
