About Charles C. Jalloh

Charles C. Jalloh is a tenured professor at FIU College of Law, the Founding Director of the African Court Research Initiative (ACRI) and a FIU Top Scholar for 2015. He was formerly Assistant Professor of Criminal and International Law at the University of Pittsburgh Law School, where he was the Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Faculty Scholar for 2013-2014. In November 2016, during elections held at headquarters in New York, the United Nations General Assembly elected Professor Jalloh to serve as a Member of the International Law Commission for a five-year term (January 2017-December 2021). The Commission, which meets for its full-time sessions in Geneva, Switzerland each summer, is mandated to assist UN member states with the codification and progressive development of international law.
