About Teresa Wickboldt OTD, OTR/L

Teresa has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist since graduating from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and Occupational Therapy Doctoral degree. Clinical work includes serving individuals across the lifespan from pediatrics to older adulthood. Practice areas have included inpatient, ICU, pediatric outpatient, TCU, Skilled Nursing, and home based services; wheelchair assessment and home modification assessment as specialty areas. Areas of expertise and passion include older adult rehabilitation where her clinical practice continues on a casual basis with Allina Health Home Care. Teresa joined the St. Catherine community as an Adjunct Faculty member in 2017 in both the online and campus based COTA programs to teach rehabilitation, primary care, and human occupation courses. Teresa joined the MAOT/OTD program as an Assistant Professor in 2020 teaching courses related to older adults, assistive technology and wheelchair seating and positioning, and physical assessment and rehabilitation. Areas of interest related to scholarship and service include inter professional collaboration in health science education and clinical practice and the importance of addressing nutrition as part of the holistic care of patients.
