About Renée (DeVries) Broughten, PhD

Renée (DeVries) Broughten, DC, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Interprofessional Education at St. Catherine University, in St. Paul, MN. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and completed a residency in Diagnostic Imaging, at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Her PhD in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development is from the University of Minnesota. Her research interests include curriculum development and design in the areas of interprofessional education. Specifically, she is interested in evidence-based clinical practice as she feels that creates a solid foundation for providers from diverse disciplines to engage in interprofessional practice. She is also interested in Medical Improvisation, as a way to help healthcare providers enhance their communication and teamwork skills.
