About Raymond S Bradley

I am a paleoclimatologist with interests in understanding climate variability across a wide range of time scales. I’m particularly interested in how present day climate differs from climates in the past, and what may have caused climates to change. My regional interests are in the Arctic and North Atlantic.
I have written or edited thirteen books on climatic change and paleoclimatology, including Paleoclimatology: Reconstructing Climates of the Quaternary (3rd edition, 2014), Global Warming and Political Intimidation (2011) and The Hadley Circulation (2004, edited, with H.F. Diaz), and I‘ve authored or co-authored over 200 articles on these topics.
My research group is supported by grants from NSF, NOAA, and the Department of Energy. If you are interested in graduate or post-doctoral research in the Climate System Research Center, contact me via email.
