My work revolves around helping international students and resident English language learners achieve their academic and personal goals. To that end, I teach a variety of courses aimed at promoting academic literacy and cross-cultural understanding. My research revolves primarily around pragmatic interests closely associated with my teaching. I am especially interested in the psychology of language learning, and in the cognitive, behavioral, and social foundations of reading.
