About Michael W. Firmin, Ph.D.

Dr. Firmin has served as a full-time psychology faculty member since 1988. He serves as Editor for the Journal of Ethnographic and Qualitative Research and directs three national research conferences:  Ethnographic and Qualitative Research Conference, the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and the Conference on Academic Research in Education. Dr. Firmin has published over 120 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented over 150 papers in national, juried research conferences. He has a part-time private practice in forensic and clinical psychology (www.miamivalleyassessments.com). Dr. Firmin is an award-winning classroom instructor and serves as a peer-reviewer on accreditation site team visits for North Central Association’s Higher Learning Commission.
