About Michael Grattan

Dr. Michael Grattan is a pediatric cardiologist at the Children's Hospital (LHSC). His research mainly addresses bicuspid aortic valve, aortopathies, and congenital heart disease.

Dr. Michael Grattan is a paediatric cardiologist who obtained his Masters of Science and Medical Degrees from the University of Calgary prior to moving to London to complete his paediatrics residency. He went on to complete a fellowship in paediatric cardiology at the University of Alberta and pursued further clinical and research training in echocardiography at the Hospital for Sick Children. He worked as a Paediatric Cardiologist, Junior Consultant, at the Hospital for Sick Children prior to joining the Department of Paediatrics in London as an Assistant Professor in October 2015.

His clinical interests include echocardiography in congenital heart disease and congenital and acquired aortopathies in paediatrics. His research interests include the investigation of vascular function and its relationship to ventricular function in patients with both congenital heart disease and other non-cardiac diseases. Mike also has a strong interest in the education of pre- and post-graduate trainees as well as allied health personnel.
