About Kristin N. Rainville

Dr. Kristin N. Rainville is an Associate Professor in the Farrington College of Education & Human Development. Professor Rainville teaches courses in curriculum and pedagogy, literacy, and instructional leadership. Her main research and writing focus is on instructional leadership, whether through coaching, classroom instruction, action research, or specialist preparation.

Before joining the faculty at Sacred Heart University, Kristin was the Department Chair and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Literacy at Manhattanville College. Kristin also previously worked as an Instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University. She was a Coordinator for the New Jersey Department of Education’s Office of Early Literacy. She has experience as a literacy coach in New Jersey and as a third grade and first grade teacher in Stamford, Connecticut.
