About Kristin Rainville

Dr. Kristin Rainville teaches in the Educational Leadership and Literacy department at the Isabelle Farrington College of Education. Before joining the faculty at Sacred Heart University, Kristin was the Department Chair and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Literacy at Manhattanville College. Kristin also previously worked as an Instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University. She was a Coordinator for the New Jersey Department of Education’s Office of Early Literacy. She has also worked as a literacy coach in New Jersey and as a third grade and first grade teacher in Stamford, Connecticut. 

Kristin frequently presents at regional and national conferences including annual conferences of the International Literacy Association (LRA), Literacy Research Association (LRA), American Education Research Association (AERA), National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), and Literacy for All.
Dr. Rainville also supports teachers, coaches, and administrators in schools and districts in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut in curriculum development, instructional methods, and assessment review.
