About Justin Robar

As a Ph.D. candidate at Western University I hope to grow and develop as a student, teacher, and a researcher. My course work focuses on growing my knowledge in the field of sport management, with hopes of one day becoming a professor in the field. My research background stems from the field of Sport for Development, however I strongly believe that sport (when used properly) can be impactful in various ways. I hope to conduct research on Sport for Development further, as well as Knowledge Translation. Working on the INAMOS project (Integrating newly arrived migrants through organized sport) offers a unique opportunity as a researcher. I will have the opportunity to work as apart of a team of international scholars with the goal of promoting best practices using sport to integrate newly arrived migrants. This aligns with my goals of understanding how to use the power of sport to positively impact people and communities’ lives.
