Dr. Joseph Kaczmarczyk currently serves as vice dean of the osteopathic medicine program at PCOM and served as interim dean and chief academic officer at PCOM Georgia for 13 months. 

A 1982 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), Dr. Kaczmarczyk has held other leadership positions within the College including associate dean of clinical education and associate dean of undergraduate medical education. Additionally, Dr. Kaczmarczyk served as president of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG) during 2002-2003 and the ACOOG representative to the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Undergraduate Medical Education Committee. He has also been appointed to the ACGME Clinician Educator Milestones 2.0 Work Group.

Prior to joining PCOM, Dr. Kaczmarczyk served in the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) for 23 years and retired at the rank of captain. His last USPHS assignment was as medical officer of the Contraception and Reproductive Health Branch for Population Research, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health. As medical officer, Dr. Kaczmarczyk was responsible for medical oversight of a $12 million clinical trials network. He was also program officer for a $5 million clinical trials network—the Pelvic Floor Disorders Network (PFDN). Previous USPHS assignments included service as the medical officer of the Office of Women's Health, Food and Drug Administration and senior medical advisor for the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy.

Dr. Kaczmarczyk is a diplomate of the National Board of Examiners for Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and is also board certified in obstetrics and gynecology; preventive medicine/occupational medicine; and holistic medicine.
