About Jason W. Moore

Jason W. Moore, an environmental historian and historical geographer, is professor of Sociology at Binghamton University. He is author or editor of seven books, most recently A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things, with Raj Patel (University of California Press, 2017), Capitalism in the Web of Life (Verso, 2015), Ecologia-mondo e crisi del capitalismo: La fine della natura a buon mercato (Ombre Corte, 2015), Anthropocene or Capitalocene? Nature, History, and the Crisis of Capitalism (PM Press, 2016), and co-editor of Ecologies Technics & Cvilizations: A Journal of World-Ecology. He coordinates the World-Ecology Research Network and blogs at https://jasonwmoore.wordpress.com/. His work has been translated into more than a dozen languages, including Thai, Croatian, Dutch, Korean, and Chinese. Moore is presently completing Ecology and the Rise of Capitalism, for the University of California Press, and The Capitalocene: A Brief History.
