About Jason W. Moore

Jason W. Moore, an environmental historian and historical geographer, is associate professor of Sociology at Binghamton University. He is author or editor of seven books, most recently A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things, with Raj Patel (University of California Press, 2017), Capitalism in the Web of Life (Verso, 2015), Ecologia-mondo e crisi del capitalismo: La fine della natura a buon mercato (Ombre Corte, 2015), Anthropocene or Capitalocene? Nature, History, and the Crisis of Capitalism (PM Press, 2016), and co-editor of Ecologies Technics & Cvilizations: A Journal of World-Ecology. He coordinates the World-Ecology Research Network and blogs at https://jasonwmoore.wordpress.com/. His work has been translated into more than a dozen languages, including Thai, Croatian, Dutch, Korean, and Chinese. Moore is presently completing Ecology and the Rise of Capitalism, for the University of California Press, and The Capitalocene: A Brief History.
