About Erik Edward Nordman

I am a professor of Natural Resources Management at Grand Valley State University and a faculty affiliate at Indiana University’s Ostrom Workshop. My teaching and research activities focus on the social dimensions of ecosystem services, commons, renewable energy, and other aspects of natural resources management. I teach courses in natural resource policy and environmental economics. In 2012-13, I served as a Fulbright Visiting Professor at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. My book, "The Uncommon Knowledge of Elinor Ostrom: Essential Lessons for Collective Action," was published in July 2021 by Island Press.
