About Dominic Morais

I grew up in Dayton, Texas, which is near Houston. After playing football in junior high, high school, and college, I developed a passion for fitness and health. Following this interest led me to Eastern Illinois University, where I served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach while earning my master’s degree in Sport Administration. Upon completing my studies there, I moved away from coaching and toward my doctorate. I studied Physical Culture and Sport Studies at The University of Texas at Austin, with a research concentration on the intersection of business – specifically marketing and branding – and physical culture from a historical perspective.
