About David Darrow

Dr. Darrow has taught Russian history, Western civilization and other European history courses at UD since 1997. His research related to the politics of census taking in the Russian Empire has received support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the International Research and Exchange Board. Dr. Darrow has served as director of the International Studies Program and as the director of the University Honors Program.His monograph, Tsardom of Sufficiency, Empire of Norms, was published i 2018 by McGill-Queens University Press. He is currently working on a new project, "The Spread of Empire: Siberian Butter and Imperial Economy."
