About Christopher Borgmeier

Dr. Borgmeier research interests focus on School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), specifically supporting schools and school districts to implement a continuum of behavioral supports and systems to promote success for all students. He is co-author of the Basic FBA to BSP training curriculum, a program to support school districts in building school capacity to effectively deliver Tier 3 behavioral supports. Another focus of Dr. Borgmeier’s research is School-Wide PBIS systems to promote teacher implementation of evidence-based classroom practices. Dr. Borgmeier is a founding, and current, board member of the NorthWest PBIS Network, a regional not-for-profit that promotes implementation of SW-PBIS and MTSS across the Pacific NorthWest. Previous to his work at PSU, he worked as the PBIS coordinator leading district-wide implementation of SW-PBIS in an inner-city school district in East Palo Alto, California. Dr. Borgmeier has provided training and consultation nationally and internationally on the implementation of SW-PBIS across all tiers. He is currently working with district, regional or state initiatives in Arizona, California and Oregon to implement MTSS.
