About Christina E. Gildersleeve-Neumann

Dr. Christina Gildersleeve-Neumann's teaching and research interests include typical and atypical speech development in monolingual and bilingual children from birth to 6, assessment and intervention for children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, childhood apraxia of speech, and speech-language pathology practices in different cultural settings. She worked as a bilingual SLP in the Texas public schools prior to becoming a professor. Before becoming an SLP, she spent many years in international education, including 5 years studying, teaching, conducting research, and advising US and international students in Germany and Ecuador. She came to PSU in 2002.
