About Anthony M. Rodriguez

Anthony Rodriguez studies methods in mathematics education, learning experiences of people with developmental disabilities, and Project Based Learning pedagogies. Rodriguez received his PhD in Education from the University of New Mexico in 2012. In addition to scholarly research, he taught math for 13 years in urban Albuquerque, New Mexico and on the reservation in Zia Pueblo, New Mexico. Rodriguez is dedicated to centering math instruction and curricula around the communities in which his students live, and engaging students in Project Based Learning. Rodriguez won the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching in 2011. He likes to read, build things, hike, camp and fish.
