About Andrés Holz

Dr. Holz has a Ph.D. in Geography from University of Colorado, Boulder, an M.A. in Geography, University of Colorado, Boulder, and a B.S. in Forestry Engineering, Universidad de Chile, Santiago de Chile. Dr. Holz is the Director of the Global Enviormental Change Lab

Andrés examines climate change impacts on terrestrial ecosystems, especially forests. He takes a multi-scale, interdisciplinary approach with an eye toward building better forecasting models to predict future vulnerabilities. His research involves neo-, dendro-, and paleo-ecology, GIS and remote sensing, landscape ecology and spatially explicit modeling, and historical records.
