Professor Amanda Izenstark is Reference and Instructional Design Librarian at the University Libraries, University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island. She received her MLIS from URI in 2001, and is currently a member of the ACRL Instruction Section (ACRL IS) Mentoring Program Committee. Previously, she served as ACRL New England Member-at-Large, chair of the ACRL IS Teaching Methods committee, and co-chair of the ACRL IS Instructional Technologies Committee.

She has been teaching credit-bearing information literacy courses since 2001. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor for URI's Graduate School of Library and Information Studies. She is the recipient of the Rhode Island Library Association's 2016 Outstanding Librarian award.
