Julian is a Principal Research Fellow and Lead Principal Researcher - Mathematics, Science and Technology - within the ACER Assessment and Reporting Research Program. Julian is currently Project Director of the Australian National Assessment Program (NAP) sample assessment of Civics and Citizenship 2010, manager of cognitive test development and the coordinator of the Asian Regional Module for the IEA International Civics and Citizenship Education Study 2009 (ICCS) Julian is also currently manager of the assessment content for the Australian National Assessment Program (NAP) ICT Literacy 2008. Julian has worked on a great number of assessment programs for both academic and non academic outcomes of schooling across Australia at local, state/territory and national levels. As well as his international work on the ICCS Julian is an ongoing assessment consultant to the Hong Kong Education Bureau and has completed other assessment and monitoring consultancy work in East Timor and Chile and Australia.
