I am Associate Professor and Chair of Philosophy at The University of Western
Ontario as well as a member of the Rotman Institute of Philosophy. I am also the editor
of the book series Studies in the History of Philosophy of Mind published by Springer,
and the editor-in-chief of the Encyclopedia of Medieval Philosophy also published by
Springer. My area of specialisation is Medieval philosophy but I often draw on Ancient
and Early Modern philosophy in my research. I joined the Department of Philosophy at
Western in 2006 having worked at Cambridge University and Uppsala University before that.
It was at Uppsala University I received my Ph.D. in 1999.
