About Emily Asch, MLIS

Emily Asch, MLIS has enjoyed being the Director of Library and Archives since 2014. She came to St. Catherine University in 2008 as the Head of Technical Services. Her vision for the library is to be a space supporting and providing for interdisciplinary dialogue through resources, physical space, virtual presence, services, and staff. Student success is the primary focus of our work in the library, through research support, providing resources and tools wherever and whenever students and faculty need them. Emily has been in academic libraries for over 25 years and has a strong collections and systems background, but has had the privilege of supporting all parts of an academic library and is passionate about students and faculty succeeding in all academic and scholarly endeavors.
