Xinxin 'Carol' Wang, PhD, is Assistant Professor Accounting & Information Systems in the Welch College of Business & Technology at Sacred Heart University. Prior to SHU, Dr. Wang worked as a grant writer raising funds for the federal government’s Head Start Program. She also is certified to teach Chinese as a foreign language. Her areas of research focus on government and nonprofit accounting and audit, continuous audit, accounting information systems and machine learning and are published in the Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting, and SSRN.

Dr. Wang holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Rutgers University‑Newark and a doctorate degree in accounting information system from Rutgers Business School.
