Will Guzmán is professor of history at Prairie View A&M University and author of Civil Rights in the Texas Borderlands: Dr. Lawrence A. Nixon and Black Activism. His next book will be on the biography of New Jersey civil rights attorney Raymond A. Brown. He is also coediting, with David H. Jackson, Jr., Maceo C. Dailey’s biography on Emmett Jay Scott (Texas Tech University Press, expected Fall 2022) and co-editing a book on Florida’s Black Power Movement.
