About Rick Weible

Dr. Rick Weible graduated from Mississippi State University with a doctorate (DBA) in Management Information Systems in 1993. Dr. Weible received his Masters degree (MBA) from Marshall University in 1984 and his bachelors degree in business administration (BBA) majoring in Management at Marshall in 1977.
Dr. Weible has taught for over 25 years at several leading universities, including: Radford University, Mississippi State University, Auburn University at Montgomery, and Marshall University. He a has been teaching management information systems at Marshall since 1993.
Dr. Weible is the author of several Journal articles. His current research interests focuses on using Web 2.0 technologies to improve the educational process and the impact of internship programs on the student, the employer and the University. Additionally, Dr. Weible has been published in national and regional education conference proceedings.
Dr. Weible is the president of a computer consulting firm that focuses on e-commerce.
On a personal note, Rick was born in Huntington and was a freshman at Marshall in 1970 when the football team was tragically killed by the plane crash. He served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints in California in the early 1970's. He participated in Army ROTC and spent two years on active duty and five years in the reserves and national guard, leaving with the rank of Captain. Rick is the father of 8 children and 2 step-children and has 6 grandchildren.
