Prof. Venky Shankararaman is a Professor of Information Systems (Education) at the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University. He is also the Vice-Provost (Education). He holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. His current areas of specialization include enterprise architecture, enterprise integration, service oriented architecture and business process management. He has over 20 years experience in the IT industry in various capacities as a researcher, academic faculty member and industry consultant.

Venky has designed and delivered professional courses for government and industry in areas such as enterprise architecture, technical architecture, enterprise integration and business process management. Venky also worked as a faculty member at Universities in the UK and Singapore where he was actively involved in teaching and research in the areas of intelligent systems and distributed systems. He has published over 50 papers in academic journals and conferences.
