About Valerie Cadet

Valerie E. Cadet is a graduate of the University of Georgia College Of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her PhD in Infectious Diseases studying the basic virology and immunology of orthopoxviruses. She utilized genome-wide RNA interference screening, small molecule library screening and a murine animal model to examine the modulation of poxvirus replication and viral gene expression along with target identification and validation for potential therapeutic interventions.
