Travis Chilcott received a BA in religious studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2001. He earned an MS in study of religion from the University of Oxford in 2002 and a PhD in religious studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011. His research areas include cognitive science of religion, psychology of religion, devotional Hindu traditions, South Asian religions, and religious experiences.
