About Todd Matthews

Dr. Todd L. Matthews, PhD, is an associate professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology, Criminology and Criminal Justice at Sacred Heart University.

Dr. Matthews' research focuses on organizational development, civic engagement, environmental inequalities, leadership and religion. He has appeared in numerous books and journals such as Sociological Inquiry, Religions and Sociological Spectrum as well as many others.

Dr. Matthews earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Salisbury University, a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Tennessee, and a doctorate in sociology from Mississippi State University.
