About Tammi Owens

Tammi Owens is the Outreach & Instruction Librarian at the University of Nebraska Omaha’s Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Library. Her study on language in virtual reference encounters was published in Internet Reference Services Quarterly, and she has presented on library tutorials, language use and user experience in libraries, and library outreach. Her co-authored chapter, “Reference 360: A Holistic Approach to Reference Instruction,” is forthcoming (2016) in Teaching Reference Today, edited by Lisa Ellis and published by Rowman & Littlefield. Tammi holds BAs in Religious Studies and Art History from the University of Nebraska Omaha, an MA in Art History, and an MS in Library Science, both from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
