Director, Neurosurgery Residency Program
Dr. Steven Yocom is Director of the Neurosurgery Residency Program at PCOM.
Dr. Yocom is a general neurosurgeon with a particular interest in complex spinal surgery. He is the Director of the Spine Program for the Cooper Neurological Institute. His personal practice has an emphasis on complex spinal surgery and reconstruction. His key interests are in the management of spinal trauma as well as cancer and degenerative disease of the spine.
Dr. Yocom utilizes many advanced image-guided and minimally invasive techniques in his surgical practice. He also lectures and teaches surgical techniques both nationally and internationally. He was board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in 2002 and recertified in 2012.
