About Steven R. Hamilton, MD

I practice at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute, in Seattle, Washington and am a Clinical Professor in the Ophthalmology and Neurology Departments at the University of Washington Medical Center. I completed my internship and neurology residency at the University of Washington and a clinical fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology through Harvard University at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, Massachusetts in 1990. I have a special interest in optic nerve disorders, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, blepharospasm, and sarcoidosis. I am a member of NORDIC, the Neuro-ophthalmology Research Disease Investigator Consortium and have participated in multiple national clinical trials involving optic neuritis, MS, myasthenia gravis, anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, and Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy.
