About Stephanie de Sam Lazaro, OTD, MA, OTR/L

Stephanie de Sam Lazaro is Director of the Graduate Occupational Therapy (Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy and Doctor of Occupational Therapy) Programs. She primarily teaches courses on occupational therapy's role and process with children, adolescents, and their families. In addition, she teaches courses in human occupation, doctoral orientation, master's projects, and capstone projects. Her scholarship focus is on equitable practices for children, adolescents, and their families with a particular focus on primary care settings and the relationship of oral health to participation in daily activities. An additional scholarship focus is on best practices in intra- and interprofessional teaching and learning strategies. This second scholarship focus areas aligns with her role as IPE Director for the Institute of Simulation and Interprofessional Learning (I-SAIL).
