About Stephanie Carpenter

Stephanie A. Carpenter is a Professor of History at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, MI.
Dr. Carpenter's primary research areas include American agriculture, 20th Century United States history, women in history. Her dissertation research resulted in publication of the first book-length study of the Women's Land Army in World War II. On the Farm Front: The Women's Land Army in World War II examined the wartime program that placed women on American farms (Northern Illinois University Press, 2003).
Originally from Vermont, Dr. Carpenter spent 16 years teaching at Murray State University, Murray, KY before joining the Department faculty in 2014.
