Dr Shashi Shukla BSc (Hons) Delhi, MA (Sci) Delhi, BEd Delhi, MA (Ed) Lucknow, PhD (Ed) JMI
Dr Shukla was a Research Fellow - Professional Development in the research team at ACER India during 2023. Dr Shukla has a doctorate in education from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and master’s in child development from the University of Delhi, India. Her research interests include understanding children in their socio-cultural context with a specific focus on education, children’s social emotional well-being, children’s play, and gender beyond the binary. She has been engaged in the Education sector as a researcher and a teacher educator at the University of Delhi for more than a decade. Dr Shukla has published her work in national and international journals. She received an Advanced Research Training Seminar (ARTS) Fellowship in 2008 from the International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology to attend a training workshop in Bremen, Germany. Dr Shukla has worked extensively with University of Osnabrueck, Germany in collaboration with Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi on several projects focused on understanding children and childhood with a cross-cultural lens.
