About Sarah L. Johnson

Sarah L. Johnson is Reference/Electronic Resources Librarian and Professor at Booth Library, Eastern Illinois University. She received her Master of Information and Library Studies degree from the University of Michigan (1994) and a Master of Arts in Linguistics from Ohio State (1992). Her research interests include historical fiction, readers' advisory services for popular fiction, and library careers and employment. She serves as Book Review Editor of the Historical Novels Review (2000-current) and was previously Professional Reading Column Editor for Public Services Quarterly (2004-2012). Professional memberships include the American Library Association, Historical Novel Society, and National Book Critics Circle.
