About Sarah Mattice

I am professor and chair, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of North Florida. I specialize in comparative and non-western philosophy, especially East Asian philosophy, and aesthetics. My research interests include Ruist (Confucian), Buddhist, and Daoist philosophies, hermeneutics, feminist philosophy, and feminist reclamation. I am also an active member of the Society for Teaching Comparative Philosophy, and am very interested in cross-cultural, contemplative, and post-colonial pedagogies.
