About Sandra Daffron

Sandra Ratcliff Daffron is a WWU Professor Emeritus of Adult and Continuing Education with 30+ years’ experience  in continuing professional education and administration. Daffron received her B.S. degree in Home Economics Education from Eastern Illinois University, her M.Ed. degree in Special Education from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, and her Ed.D. degree in Adult and Continuing Education from Northern Illinois University. Before coming to Western Washington University in 2002, Daffron served two years as a Senior Legal Educator and Co-Chief of Party for a USAID Rule of Law Project in the West Bank and Gaza. She served as the Executive Vice President and Director of the American Judicature Society, a court reform organization, and worked 20 years with judges, lawyers, physicians, military trainers, nurses and other professional groups helping them to develop adult education principles for their programs. She also has helped the public to understand the judicial and legal systems.  Sandra Daffron directed the master’s program, the Continuing and College Education,  at WWU and together with her students established the Western Region Research Conference on the Education of Adults, and presented the conference for graduate students and researchers to present their research. The conference is in it’s 6th year. Sandra Daffron continues to present workshops and classes in adult and continuing education around the world.
