About Robert J. Wilkens

Dr. Wilkens is the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation as well as Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses here at the University of Dayton. He received his M.S in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton in 1993 before pursuing his Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University in 1997 and his MBA from the University of Dayton in 2010. Dr. Wilkens has worked and consulted for such companies like Shell Oil Company, Cargill, Goodrich, ReyNo Inc, Terran, and OPE. His research interests include fluid mechanics, including agitation and pipe flow, multiphase flow (thermal and hydraulic), non-Newtonian agitation, and oil and gas production flow assurance, and he's authored numerous publications on these subjects.
