About Robert L. Rubenstein

Dr. Bob Rubenstein is a Professor of Counseling at the Marshall University Graduate College School of Education and Professional Development. Dr. Rubenstein is a former teacher, football and basketball coach, elementary school counselor, and administrator with thirteen years of public school experience. He was a former West Virginia’s Elementary School Counselor of the Year and a former member and Chair of the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling.

In addition, he is the former president of both the West Virginia School Counselors Association and the West Virginia Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. He is a past recipient of the Marshall University President’s Service Award.

Dr. Rubenstein has conducted over 200 regional, national and international workshops on various human relationships topics such as Ethical and Legal Issues in various professions, Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Teambuilding, Self-Worth Development, Substance Abuse Treatments, Motivation, Leadership and Violence Reduction. In addition, Dr. Rubenstein is a co-founder of the Marshall University Community Services Clinic.
