About Robert Sweitzer

Robert W. Sweitzer, Ph.D., holds the McGehee Chair in Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Louisiana Tech University.  Professor Sweitzer earned a BS in Industrial Management from Purdue and MBA and PhD in Business Administration from Michigan State University and was a faculty member at Anderson Graduate School of Business, UCLA and at the Peter F. Drucker Graduate Management School at the Claremont Colleges, where he earned Professor of the Year honors.

Dr. Sweitzer directed Lockheed-Martin’s Technology Ventures Corporation operations in Southern New Mexico from the New Mexico State University campus, serving technology transfer at NMSU, Sandia National Lab and White Sands Missile Range, promoted to Director of TVC Nevada Operations.  The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) recruited him to serve as Director, Office of Technology Transfer.  He completed a visiting year in the School of Business at Western New Mexico University and served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland University College, teaching Innovation through Marketing and Technology online in their MBA program prior to joining the Louisiana Tech University faculty.
